Interlibrary Loans

If you are looking for a specific book that is not part of our library’s collection, we offer an interlibrary loan service. In many cases, we can find the book in another library in the region or in the province and we can request to borrow it for you. The book will be sent to our location within a few days. All you need to do is provide us with information about the book and we will take care of the rest.

Large-print books

On our shelves, you will also find a collection of large-print books. We receive a good quantity of these books from Manitoba’s Public Library Services. The collection is refreshed approximately every 3 to 4 months for a completely new variety of items.

Mini-CRÉE (Centre de ressources éducatives à l’enfance)

The CREE program (managed by the francophone federation of parent advisory committees) is available at the Père-Champagne Library. This program provides a large collection of French-language games, toys, children’s books, cassettes, puppets, CDs, videocassettes, CD-Roms, DVDs, etc. This collection is exchanged every 3 to 4 months and is accessible by members of the program only. The price of a membership is $ 20/year and includes access to every item in the CRÉE.

FBMB (Federation of bilingual municipalities libraries)

This organization provides us with an additional collection of French-language videocassettes, compact disks and DVDs. The FBMB block is exchanged every 3 to 4 months.

Public Access Computers

Also in the library are two computers available (free of charge) for public use. These computers are connected to high-speed wireless Internet.
